Safety On the Lake

Keeping Families Safe on the Water Is A Top Priority

Keeping our families and the public safe on the water is one of our proudest endeavors. In a setting as dynamic as Lake Tahoe we support the amplified efforts by California and Nevada to educate all boaters – motorized and non-motorized – about safety for themselves, their passengers, and other lake users.

Navigating boating regulations on our BI-state federal waterways is complicated. In this section, we’ve outlined the newest California and Nevada boating laws and useful boating safety and wayfinding tools to help you have a safe and enjoyable boating experience.
