Make An Impact In Shaping Non-Motorized Boating On Lake Tahoe!
LAKE TAHOE NON-MOTORIZED BOATING (Tahoe Water Trail)
PUBLIC WORKSHOP BLOG
NOVEMBER 15 - DECEMBER 15, 2010
http://paddlingtahoe.wordpress.com/
Your input is needed! This is the first public workshop to present information and research compiled over the past several months pertaining to non-motorized boating; such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, and windsurfing, to name a few. There is collected information about public access to the private shoreline included in the draft framework to be used by public land managers and others in supporting non-motorized use of Lake Tahoe.
This is an ideal opportunity to become informed whether you own in California or Nevada as this issue affects the entire shoreline. The presentation package will be shared at the workshop, available to be accessed online, and there will be a blog discussion through of December 3rd to hear your thoughts and testimonials about your experiences as a lakefront owner.
Water Trail Issues Affecting Your Lakefront Property:
* Boating Safety * Boating Conflicts Near Shore * Recreational Opportunities & Facilities
* Security * Trash * Dog Waste * Shoreline Erosion * Property Trespass & Safety
* Trampling of Tahoe Yellow Cress an Endangered Shore Plant
Whether you’re an avid kayak enthusiast or have had any incidents to relate in a constructive and meaningful forum, this is your chance. Please let us hear from you, either in person at the workshop, by mail, or share your thoughts, ideas, or concerns via email at info@tloa.net.
