On June 2, 2017, staff from the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency gave a Shoreline Plan presentation to approximately 150 lakefront owners and TLOA members at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach. Following the presentation, attendees broke into groups to provide input on the Shoreline Plan process and issues such as piers, buoys, low lake level adaptation and streamlined permitting. Attendees also received a proprietary TLOA Shoreline Position Statement.

Shoreline Plan 2017 Next Steps: Environmental Review
With the fact-finding phase of the Shoreline Plan completed, stakeholders are starting the environmental review process which includes examining a number of alternatives - each aimed at mitigating an aspect or aspects of environmental impact identified in the preferred alternative - along with a no-project analysis. As a key stakeholder in the Shoreline Plan process, TLOA supports the preferred alternative that will enhance and balance recreational access while protecting the environment and responsibly planning for potential future development along the shoreline.
