TRPA Shoreline Plan ordinances require that you have a BMP Certificate of Completion
Don’t wait. Stricter Regulations on the Horizon
TRPA has waived Best Management Practices (BMPs) Certificates of Completion for 2019 during their mandatory mooring registrations. All existing moorings must be registered in 2019 on the TRPA website: https://parcels.laketahoeinfo.org/MooringRegistration/Welcome - Don't delay!
Once you register your moorings this year, you’ll need to provide evidence that your property complies with water quality BMPs. No Exceptions! You’ll need either a BMP Certificate of Completion, or a Source Control Certificate in order to register in subsequent years, or to apply for a mooring allocation. That means common property for Associations need to be compliant, even if there is no coverage on the parcel. Some owners will need to have a site assessment and may require driveways to be paved. his can take months to complete and everything must be wrapped up by October 15th. Don’t wait. Check your property's BMP status at www.tahoebmp.org to see if you are in good standing.
You must have a BMP Certificate in order to renew your mooring registrations in 2020, and to apply for new moorings in 2020.
You must have your existing moorings registered by the end of 2019 - no exceptions.
